BREAKING: Nine NYSC Members Drowned In A River

The wish of every parents is that after toiling day and night training their children, they'll one day, reap the fruits of their labour.

Unfortunately, this is not to be for the families of nine NYSC members, as their children were drowned in a river at Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State.

After about five years in the University, the nine perished while on a picnic at the riverside, with four bodies recovered.





Taraba State NYSC Coordinator, Florence Yaakugh said the remaining five bodies were yet to be recovered at press time.

Recovered bodies were two males and female were identified as corps members posted to Taraba state from Enugu, Imo, Delta and Edo state.

Spokesperson of Taraba State Police Command, ASP David Misal confirmed the incident.
