Nigerians are starved under Buhari, Sule Lamido alleges

IT has been opined that Nigerians have been so starved by the present economic situation in the country to the extent that they can no longer protest against the hike in the prices of essential commodities in the markets but rather forced to resign to fate as is contrary to the democratic tenets.

The opinion was expressed by former Jigawa state Governor, Sule Lamido while in Bauchi when he addressed delegates and other supporters of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State preparatory to the party presidential primaries later in the year declaring that the APC led Federal administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has failed Nigerians woefully.

Sule Lamido who is one of the presidential aspirants of the PDP also said that he is willing to become the President of Nigeria in 2019 because he is the only politician from the North that can defeat President Muhammadu Buhari and restore all rules and values of democracy which have been destroyed by the APC and President Buhari.
He described members of the ruling All Progressives Congress particularly those in the helm of affairs at the federal level as corrupt who he said have deceived and disunited Nigerians along tribal and religious lines.
Sule Lamido further accused the present administrations of being selective in the fight against corruption saying, “if you are in the PDP, they said you are a thief but if you are in the APC you are a saint, what kind of justice is this?, Governor Ortom has spent three years governing Benue State, immediately he dumped the APC, EFCC began investigating his administration.”
