10-yrs-old outage: Ondo youths laud FG over intervention

YOUTHS under the ages of the Bring Back Our Light, (BBOL), group, have commended the federal government on its move to tackle the power outage being experienced in the south senatorial district of Ondo State in the last 10 years.
The group gave the commendation in a statement issued on Thursday in Okitipupa  by the convener of BBOL, Mr Olumide Akinrimlola.
Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje and some communities in Ese-Odo Local Government Area  were disconnected from the power source by the Benin-Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) over accumulated debts.
The group commended  Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, for his pivotal role in saddling the Niger-Delta Power Holding Company  Ltd. (NDPHCL) with the responsibility of reconnecting the communities.
The group also thanked Pastor Johnson  Kalejaiye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Ifeoluwa Akindele, the Executive Director of  NDPHCL for their roles in the initiative.
The group also commended Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and his deputy, Mr Agboola Ajayi, for their efforts in the intervention process.
The group, however, said it would resist any attempt by some politicians in the state to impede the intervention process meant to bring succour to the communities.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a town hall meeting was convened on the intervention process on Tuesday in  Okitipupa and Igbokoda.
