*2019: APC HAS FAILED NIGERIANS, VOTE THEM OUT - Afenifere Chieftain counsels Nigerians*

- Nigerians have been urged to vote out APC come 2019
- The call was made by a chieftain of Afenifere group, Ayo Adebanjo
- The octogenarian added that APC has failed to rescue Nigeria from poverty
Nigerians have been urged to stop voting for the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), because it has allegedly failed to meet the expectation of Nigerians in its three year

This call was made by Chief Ayo Adebanjo, a chieftain of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, during a special colloquium on Friday, September 21, set to mark the 80th birthday of a former secretary general of the federation who also doubles as the national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Adebanjo, in his remark, expressed that the APC government has failed to meet the demand of the country, adding that if Nigeria should move forward, the ruling party has to be voted out at all cost.

The octogenarian said: "Anything that will get rid of the APC should be done. It must be done at the local, state and federal levels. The APC has failed the nation and it must be shown the way out.”
Also in attendance at the event that was held in Ondo state capital, Akure, are the former governor of Ondo state, Segun Mimiko, a former minister of information, Professor Jerry Gana, and a former minister of education, Professor Tunde Adeniran. They all urged President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that his government tries to belt the hunger, poverty and insecurity turning the country to a mess.
Falae, in his words, described his party, SDP, as the only party with ideology, adding that other parties in the country lack ideological wits to take the country to its shore of glory.
According to him: "This (SDP) is the only party that can be honestly described as a political party with ideology and we need a party with ideology to take us out of where we are currently.”
But reacting to both Falae and Adebanjo's statements, the national publicity secretary of APC, Nabena Yekini, urged Nigerians to keep faith with the party. He added that no party is as sincere as APC when it comes making the security and welfare of the country a top priority.
He said: "Our appeal to Nigerians — especially those who love the progress of this country — is for them to keep faith with our party. When you look around, you will attest to the fact that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration has done well. It has repositioned Nigeria for the better. In just three years this administration has given Nigeria a better sense of direction.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that SDP chieftain Chief Olu Falae, on Thursday, August 9, called on Nigerians to vote out political parties that failed the country in its 19 years of democratic governance.
Falae made the call in Lokoja at the grand finale of the campaign rally for the election of Umar Ahmed Imam, the SDP candidate in Kogi-Koton-Karfe/Lokoja federal constituency bye-election.
He described the action of the men of the DSS who recently invaded the National Assembly as undemocratic and a call to anarchy. He urged all Nigerians with democratic credentials to rise in defence of democracy.
