REBUTTAL OF AN ADOPTION BY ETINAN LGA.
My attention has been drawn to an online video and various post on social media platforms and print media insinuating that Etinan Local Government council has adopted a particular candidate for the forth coming Etinan Federal Constituency race.
I Hon.Cletus Asuquo Ekpo,the Executive Chairman of Etinan LGA and Chief Executive Officer of the council, hereby advice the general public to disregard this fake political propaganda,as the Council never adopted anyone nor authorized any of its Executive Staff or member(s) of the Legislature in Etinan to make any political declarations on behalf of the council or my humble self.
I view this development as absurd, uncivil, barbaric,sacrilegious,abuse of Executive positions and a calculated attempt to smear my image.
I use this opportunity to debunk this allegation and also give a stern warning that henceforth,no member of my cabinet should make sensitive utterances or proclamations except on personal grounds and this should not be attributed to the council of Etinan because such actions will not be taken lightly and may attract stiff penalty.
Any staff or Legislator willing to form an alliance with any one or go into a political merger of any kind, should do so on their own perils and not drag the name of the council in the mud.
I encourage everyone Etinan sons and daughters to continue in their patriotism and total solidarity to the Government of Mr Udom Emmanuel,as we remain peaceful and law abiding in our conduct.
