Just yesterday, shortly after Comrade Godwin Akpan aka For the love of Nigeria revealed on his timeline people from Essien Udim Local Government Area planted as mole in the PDP, hidden stories behind some politicians who are PDP members in the morning but APC in the night have been uncovered.
Reliable sources within the Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio's faction of APC have informed this reporter of lawmaker representing Ikono State Constituency, Hon. VICTOR UDOFIA being planted by his godfather, Ibanga Akpabio to serve as a spy in order to distabalize the PDP in the State.
"UDOFIA who is aspiring for House of Representative seat is not sure of APC ticket as Senator Aloysius Etok, Rt. Hon. Iquo Minima and Dr. Clement Bassey are stumbling block to his emergence, hence the reason he has been mandated to pick his ticket in PDP, thereafter defect to APC " the source revealed.
It is said that prior to the defection of Sen. Godswill Akpabio, an agreement was reached at the Asokoro residence of the former Senate Minority Leader where UDOFIA agreed to pick his nomination form in the PDP but work against the re election of Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.
It is observed that almost all supporters of UDOFIA have defected to APC including: immediate past elected Ikono LGA Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Innocent Ukpong, cousin to Ibanga Akpabio's wife, Mr. Richard Paul, a boy to Ibanga and Victor and former state officer of the party. And a host of others.
Inorder to execute his clandestine plans, reliable source claimed that, the MP may likely trick governor Udom using affiliation with Mbakara through Paul Ekpo to get the ticket, run his election and frustrate Gov Udom Emmanuel in his Governorship election which comes last.
"After inauguration of national assembly and all things been equal, he will then defect to join Senator Akpabio in APC. Victor Udofia will not last 3 months in PDP if he gets the ticket to NASS" the source added.
Confirming the allegation, a stakeholder of APC in Ikono, Hon. Ini Udom said that Hon. VICTOR UDOFIA is a bride to APC but on a strategic assignment in PDP.
UDOM noted that the relationship between Akpabio and Victor Udofia's family is cemented wondering why any sane politician would think that the lawmaker could prefer PDP to APC.
Effort to reach the lawmaker proved abortive, but his aide who identified himself as Ubong said that the constitution permits freedom of association noting that the relationship between his boss and Akpabio's family cannot be thwarted as a result of defection.
On whether the MP will defect to APC after swearing in, the aide noted that such is inevitable.
