The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties and Aviation Development,
Mr Akan Okon, today, reiterated the unalloyed support of Itu Local Government Area for Governor Udom Emmanuel, beyond 2019.
The Commissioner, at a thank You Visit hosted by Engr. Udang Emmanuel, an Aspirant at the just concluded PDP House of Assembly Primaries, thanked Engr. Udang for his loyalty to the PDP and described his approach as a show of sportsmanship.
Mr Okon urged other politicians from the Area to take a cue from Engr. Udang, maintaining the former Hopeful will be rewarded for his steadfastness with the PDP and Governor Udom Emmanuel.
He added the support for Governor Udom Emmanuel by Itu people remains intact, insisting that they will deliver the State Chief Executive in next year's election.
"You have shown the spirit of sportsmanship in the just concluded Party Primaries and others should follow this same style, you came to the election and the party decision didn't favour you, While others are going the other way, you are here supporting the Party.
"You will definitely be rewarded for the show of love and support you have shown the party and our Governor's second term bid", he added.
On his part, Engr. Udang Emmanuel, thanked the people for standing by him throughout the consultation, campaigns and Primaries of the People Democratic Party in the State.
He lauded people of Itu for always supporting the decision of the party and urged them to remain loyal to the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, adding that he remains a faithful member of the PDP.
