CLERIC, ADMINISTRATOR EXTOL INI EMEMOBONG’S HUMANE VIRTUES AT 35TH BIRTHDAY

By Martins Inyangetoh

Bishop Augustine Oyo, the Bishop of Stadium Road Congregation of the Church of Christ, Oron, has described Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Akwa Ibom State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a man characterized by rare virtues of compassion, kindness and philanthropy towards the Christian family.

The Cleric made this known on Sunday when Comrade Ememobong, his wife, Sandra-Emejuiwe, family, members of the state PDP Publicity Unit, friends and well-wishers worshipped at the Church of Christ, Stadium Road, Oron, to commemorate his 35th birthday celebration.

Speaking, Bishop Oyo said “I have known Ini Ememobong for decades. He is a man that has the people at heart. And over the years, he has proven to be a destiny helper to so many. He has touched so many lives. He is a rare gift to the Church of Christ family.”

Also speaking, the Administrator of Godly Liberty Orphanage Home, Oron, Mrs. Mary Okon Nkoyo, applauded Comrade Ememobong’s philanthropic disposition, maintaining that “he is a man after God's heart and a source of hope to the younger generation.”

Mrs. Nkoyo also used the opportunity to commend Governor Udom Emmanuel over the relative peace enjoyed by the people of the state, adding that the feat has endeared him more to the people, who, according to her, remain supportive of his administration.

In his remarks, Comrade Ememobong, who recounted the many challenges he has faced in life and the many feats he has also recorded in the past 35 years, said he led his family and friends to the church and Home of Orphans to celebrate God's benevolence.

He said he was thankful that God has used the likes of his father, Mkpisong Ememobong Essien; his mother, Mrs. Rosemary Essien; his wife, Sandra-Emejuiwe; former President Musa Yar'Adua; Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Udom Emmanuel to aid his upward climb in life.

According to Comrade Ememobong, their roles in the last 35 years of his life have molded him into a better person in the society. He encouraged inmates of Godly Liberty Orphanage Home to be hopeful of a better future.

In his words: “Do not be discouraged by the challenges before you today because the circumstance that you have found yourself today cannot determine your destiny in life. Let the various lessons you have learnt inspire you. My visit to this Home has made me part of this family. I will always support this family as long as God gives me the enablement.”

The Church Service, which featured song rendition, prayers, presentation of gift items to the Godly Liberty Orphanage Home, also allowed the members of the Congregation and inmates of the Orphanage home to offer special prayer to mark the 35th birthday celebration of Comrade Ememobong.
