Mr. Edmond Uffang, the Chief Protocol Officer to Governor Udom Emmanuel, has reiterated his drive towards enhancing food sufficiency in the state.
He made the remark at Government Primary School, Ata Obio Akpa, Oruk Anam, during the second edition of the Community Feeding Initiative hosted by him & his wife in conjunction with the Lobbyist Group.
Speaking through his wife, Mrs Mae Uffang, he expressed happiness for the grace to be able to give back to the society in his own little way. He described the programme as one that is aimed at eradicating hunger in homes of villages across the state & charged well meaning Nigerians who have been blessed with much to start giving.
"Go out of your way from today and be a brand ambassador of giving because that little act can save a life."
He thanked the wife of the Governor for her pet programme, FEYRep, which has inspired them to give back to the society.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Chairman Oruk Anam, Clan Head, Woman Leader & Leader of the Lobbyist Group, expressed happiness for the initiators of the feeding programme while calling on others to key into the vision as more Blessings awaits them.
In her remark, the wife of the Governor, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel expressed delight over the kind show of love displayed by the initiators of the programme which described as one not based on political sentiments.
"This act of giving isn't based on political sentiments but love for the people."
She further admonished other well-meaning sons & daughters to reciprocate the goodness of God in their lives by giving even a little to their neighbours, family members & others.
Highpoint of the event was the distribution of various food items to beneficiaries.
