Governor Udom Emmanuel has announced a new ultra modern auditorium and more learning facilities for the Army Command Secondary Science School, Efa, in Etinan.

This he said, is part of his administration's readiness to boost the quality of learning across the State.

Governor Emmanuel stated this at the Funeral Service of Late Elder Solomon David Akpabio, father of his Confidential Secretary, Mrs Imaobong Sylvester Okon.

Governor Emmanuel expressed appreciation to God for the approval obtained for the establishment of the Command Science Secondary School and lauded the School Authority for the discipline and training given to the students.

"This school started just a few months ago, but you can see the way they've groomed the children. It shows the quality and everything."

"I have listened to their request, I want to hereby say that I will start the construction of an Auditorium in memory of our late father, for this school almost immediately," he announced.

He expressed his administration's moves for the provision of more modular classrooms to aid in the accommodation of more students in school as the next school season is around the corner.

His government, he said, introduced the modular classrooms buildings, because they are easily completed in two weeks for use by students.

The Funeral according to the Governor is the first public function after his re-election by the Apostolic Church and sued for more prayers for the state.

Governor Emmanuel thanked the church within and outside the state for their fervency in prayers that led to his success, and donated a bus to The Apostolic Church, Akpasak Efa District to aid in Evangelism services.

"I am yet to see a government that is being prayed for by a church like this government and I can only reassure you, that will poise us to do a lot more."

Governor Emmanuel urged the family, community and the church to be consoled by the legacies bequeathed them by their deceased Elder.

He pledged to run a christcentric government  where justice is transparent, assuring that the second term mandate calls for redoubling of effort to ensure the fulfillment of the administration's vision.
"People have different views about second term, but to me, second term means a time to redouble our efforts and bring more developments to my people."

In an homily, The Field Superintendent of the Apostolic Church, Uyo field, Apostle Ime George said that life is transcient and Man is on a pilgrimage on Earth.

Taking his texts from Luke chapter 1 verses 23 and John 2;16, the cleric urged all to be guided by the fear of God and to shun all forms of lusts and pride as it has led to the fall of many faithful servants of God.

He described the late Elder as a committed worker in the vineyard of God and prayed God to keep his soul in the bosom of Abraham.

A biography of the deceased indicates that, Late Elder Solomon Akpabio aged 82 was a devout Christian and consummate businessman. He is survived by 8 Children, 34 Grand Children and 3 Great Grand Children.
