The State Executive Committee of the Party congratulates the Members of Parliament whose elections have been upheld by the Elections Petitions Tribunal today, Sen. Bassey Albert, Rt. Hon. Mike Enyong, Rt. Hon. Nse Ekpenyong and Hon. Unyime Idem of Uyo Senatorial District, ‘Uyo Federal Constituency’, ‘Oron Federal Constituency’, and Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, respectively.
The tribunal’s judgement is a judicial affirmation of the sanctity of the ballot and a caution to people, who when rejected by their people at the polls, expect to attain the same office through the backdoor.
We are grateful to God, who through His divine mandate gave us victory against all odds; to the people who stood by and voted for our candidates. The Leader of the Divine Mandate and Governor of our state, Deacon Udom Emmanuel deserves special commendation for the humongous support given to all candidates, before, during and after the elections.
This is indeed sweet victory and we can only proclaim “ To God be the glory”.
