The Executive Chairman of Esit Eket Local Government Council, Hon. Iniobong Robson, has lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel, for providing palliatives for the people of Esit Eket to help reduce hunger in the area.
The Chairman said this on Thursday while inspecting palliatives donated by the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel at the palace of the Paramount Ruler of the area, Edidem Ubong Peter Assam.
Mr. Robson appreciated the effort put in by the State Chief Executive and other stakeholders at ensuring that the people of Akwa Ibom are not left without hope at this critical period of lockdown occasioned Covid-19 pandemic.
"Governor Emmanuel is a kind hearted leader who understand the plight of the people at every given time. His effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 virus and to ameliorate poverty is another trademark his administration has endeavoured to proof to the people that he is operating an all inclusive Government" Robson stated.
The Chairman went on and informed the people of his personal support in order to compliment on the effort of Governor Emmanuel. According to information gathered, the Council boss is said to have promised additional foodstuffs including 500 bags of Rice, 300 bags of Garri, beverages and other incentives.
He assured that the palliatives will get across all party lines.
The Paramount Ruler, who expressed satisfaction on the various role played by the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel in collaboration with other stakeholders thanked the Council boss for always standing up for his people.
The royal Father went on and urged indigenes and residents of the Area to be law abiding and to maintain regular medical precautionary measures in order to help curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
