A Healthy Eket is our Concern

The Chairman of Eket COVID-19 Action Committee, Barr Akpadiaha Ebitu, has reiterated the commitment of the Council leadership led by Mr. Frank Archibong in making Eket a healthy Local Government Area.


Akpadiaha Ebitu stated this, Sunday when he led members of the Eket COVID-19 Action Committee to the decontamination of Urua Nka where face masks were equally shared to over two thousand market dealers and residents of the Area and it's environs.

He remarked that the Local Government Area under the leadership of Mr. Frank Archibong has tremendous interest of the people at heart and therefore the massive movement employed towards the decontamination of public institutions in the Local Government Area.

Ebitu added that the ongoing awareness and sensitization of Eket indigenes and residents are conscious effort employed by the Council and the Action Committee to inform, educate and enlighten the people on what causes COVID and how to ensure it does not affect the people.

He maintained also that so far indigenes of the Local Government Area have supported the fight against the virus and expressed excitement that in no distant time, all households in Eket would have knowledge of the reality of Coronavirus and will also bring the people up to speed with technicalities on how to contain the pandemic.

The enlightenment according to the Legal Luminary will instill in the people the consciousness of COVID-19.

To this extent, he said, Eket people shall be free of the novel disease.

The Eket COVID-19 Action Committee Chairman was accompanied by members of the Action Committee including the Committee Secretary, Mr. Emman Sammy, Group Captain Eno, rtd, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak amongst others.
