A'IBOM CP LAUDS GOVERNOR EMMANUEL ON ISOLATION CENTRE, PROBITY

The  Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, CP. Zaki Ahmed, has lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State for demonstrating high sense of probity and vision in managing the affairs of the State, describing him as a prudent manager of human and material resources.

CP Ahmed who made the assessment during a visit to the site of the ongoing construction of Isolation Centre at Ituk Mbang General Hospital in Uruan Local Government Area, earlier today, said the project is well conceived and will benefit the State and nation for many years to come as a reference centre for the management of deadly diseases.

The Police boss stated that he was highly satisfied with how Governor Emmanuel runs the affairs of the State with vision, transparency and having the overall interest of the State at heart. He therefore urged citizens of the state to behave responsibly and support the administration to succeed even more.

"By nature of the quality of this project, it is a permanent structure that will serve the State for  decades. From all indication, it is obvious most isolation centres in the country will be dismantled after Covid19, but Akwa Ibom State Centre for Disease Control  by my personal assessment will remain intact because it is built with strong vision and durable materials", Mr. Edgal projected.

Speaking further, the Police Commissioner, observed, "The structures I'm seeing here today which have been put in place in just three weeks of construction are of the best quality. His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, is not out to waste the State resources in what will not have long-lasting economic value for the people and is of acceptable international standard ". He concluded

He reiterated the readiness of the State Police Command to collaborate with the Government to implement the COVID-19 partial lockdown measures, enforce compliance and ensure security of lives and property as the State looks toward to defeating the pandemic and halting its spread.

He therefore sued for understanding and cooperation amongst members of the public with security agencies so that the dusk to dawn curfew will be observed without ugly incidents.

It would be recalled that work on the project that began barely weeks ago as part of practical measures against COVID 19 is billed for commissioning in a matter of days, according to the State's Commissioner for Works, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen whose ministry is in charge.
