Emmanuel Nicholas Emerges Political Leader of Central Uruan, Ward 3

It was pomp and glamour on Monday, June 1, 2020 in the suburb of Uruan Local Government Area as a political leader emerged for the people of Central Uruan, Ward 3 in the person of Prince Emmanuel Nicholas.


Prince Nicholas emerged after an election which saw him garner 23 votes from 28 delegates made up of Elders from the Ward.

The election also witnessed the emergence of Saviour Ekongson as the  Deputy Ward Leader.

Responding to emergence of the new leader , Obong kingsley Orok , the Zonal Leader of South East of Uruan, advised the new political leader to carry everyone along and listen to the advise of the Elders .

"I want to thank  the people of Central Uruan Ward 3 for electing a reputatable leader in the person of Emmanuel Nicholas. He is man of integrity but White , you must listen to your leaders ,if you must lead well", Obong Orok said.

Obong Peter Ekpe Atakpo  ,the political leader of Uruan Local Government Area, pleaded with the people of the ward to be peaceful and law abiding. On the new political leader , the Leader of  Uyo Senatorial District thanked the Elders of Central Uruan  Ward 3  for making the right choice.

In his remark, the new political leader of the area, Mr Nicholas, thanked the Elders, stakeholders and the people for the confidence reposed in him by electing him as their political leader.

He observed that, with the responsibility bestowed upon his shoulders, he is poised to lead the area aright and also connect the people to the political trajectory that will enhance their uplift.
Nicholas called for more support through advice and prayers.

He added " I won't work alone. You all are my back bone. I will ensure that there is synergy with other political leaders of other Wards and the political leader of our Local government area. The mission is that of building a strong, united party and that I am very determined to achieve".

The new Poitical lLeader  was nominated for election by the Councillor  of the Ward and  leader of Legislative Council of Uruan , Hon Keppy Ekpeyong  and thereafter presented to the Zonal Leader of Central Uruan,   Engr J B Effiong by the 23 Elders of Central Uruan Ward 3 .

Former PDP Ward  Deputy Chairman; Susana Jonathan, Former PDP Ward woman leader; Mrs Arit Okon, Former PDP Ward  woman Leader; Asuquo Ekpo, Former PDP Ward  Ex-officio; Ifiok Effiong Edet, Former PDP Ward  Publicity Secretary; Effiong Ekpo Asuquo, Former Ward Organising Secretary and Iniobong Effiong, Former PDP Ward Secretary.
