Commissioner designate in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Frank Archibong, has congratulated the newly elected Akwa Ibom State Officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Udo Ekpeyong, emerged as Obong Paul Ekpo's successor.

Frank Archibong, who spoke with Journalists immediately after the PDP State Congress held at the Godswill Obot Akpabio's International Stadium (Nest of Champions) on Thursday, July 30th, 2020, described the entire process as the most peaceful, fair and transparent Congress ever conducted in the history of PDP in the State.

He said he is delighted with the caliber of those elected into various offices, noting that it portrays the umbrella party as a united, loving and peaceful party with clear intention to walk the path towards attaining successful height, development and progress for a greater Akwa Ibom.

The Eket emerging leader, whose passion for peaceful coexistence and determination for development is widely acknowledged,  described Governor Udom Emmanuel, as a peaceful leader and Pathfinder of development.
"Governor Emmanuel, in my assessment has proven himself as a peaceful leader. He did not impose any candidate on the party neither did he influence the  processes adopted by State Congresses Committee Chaired by Obong Paul Ekpo, for the conduct of the Congress. This further demonstrates his peaceful nature which is worth emulating".  Archibong Stated.

He thanked the Governor,  whom he said has evidently demonstrated his love and compassion for the safety of lives and properties by providing the Congress Committee with required Medical preventive materials and observerance to social distancing before and during the exercise.

"Within this period of ravaging coronavirus pandemic, we have witnessed the Governor's proactive approaches to ensure Akwa Ibom people are safe. We should therefore endeavour to encourage strict adherence to the precautionary measures against the spread of the dreaded coronavirus disease, which according to him has negatively affected expected pace of development in the State as well as global economy".Archibong added.

Mr. Frank Archibong, who expressed optimism that those elected will definitely deliver, further urged all and sundry to embrace and maintain  peace in order to help the government of Udom Emmanuel succeed in industrializing the State in addition to the numerous developmental projects spread across the State in line with the dakkada philosophy.
