The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced Governor Godwin Obaseki as the winner of the Governorship Election held in Edo state on Saturday, September 19
Obaseki who is the Peoples Democratic Party candidate polled 295,198 to defeat Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress who scored 212,983
Obaseki secured his reelection victory by winning in 14 out 18 LGAs and two-third of vote cast in all councils
