WILLIAMS MKPAH IS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR IBENO PEOPLE - COUNCIL BOSS



..describes Gov Udom as God's sent leader.




The Executive Chairman of Ibeno LGC, Mr. Sunday Isokobo, has stated that the emergence of High Chief Williams Mkpah, as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate for Ibeno is the right choice for the people of Ibeno.


Mr. Isokobo said High Chief Mkpah, "Reflects the real choice in which every sons and daughters of Ibeno were looking forward to have. He is a consummate politician, technocrat and a team player who is concern about development and Progress of his people".

The Chairman expressed gratitude to the State Chief Executive, Governor Udom Emmanuel, whom he described as God's sent to Akwa Ibom State. He appreciated  the leadership of the PDP at the State and local government level for allowing Ibeno people to choose a candidate of their choice.

He stated this while speaking with newsmen  during a stakeholders meeting at the party's Chapter office in Ibeno on Sunday, August 6th 2020.


"Governor Udom Emmanuel is God's sent and a pragmatic leader, that Akwa Ibom State is gaining positive global recognition as an emerging tourist hub is courtesy of the Governor's genuine determination to industrialize the State and ensure conducive environment for investors" Isokobo stated.



He acknowledged that what Governor Emmanuel is doing is symbolic of a true leader whose paramount interest is for the betterment of the people. 

"The establishment of functional industries and peaceful coexistence witnessed under the Udom Emmanuel's led-adminidtration is an indication that he is God's sent to Akwa Ibom people" the Chairman said. 



The Council boss however commended the sportsmanship approach of Mr. Ekoakwaha Etteh, for accepting to collaborate and support the party to emergce victorious in the forthcoming Council election. He maintained  that Mkpa will sincerely work to tackle unemployment, address all those things hindering development in our LGA as  well as ensuring provision of social amenities which are the duty of government.


Mr. Etteh, who contested against the emerged Chairmanship Candidate, in his submission, assured the people of Mkpah's readiness and capacity to lead as Council Chairman. He urged his supporters to canvass support for the success of the party in the forthcoming election while reiterating  unflinching loyalty and support to the Governor and the PDP 




Ekoakwaha who said Politics is not a do or die affair posited that what is important is for stakeholders and the people of Ibeno to collaborate to ensure High Chief Williams Mkpah emerged victorious as the Executive Chairman of Ibeno in the forthcoming Council election.



"As a leader, I have put behind me all that has happened. Now is the time to collaborate for our victory and am hopeful that our party's candidate will facilitate progress, peaceful coexistence and unity of Ibeno LGA. I will continue to remain totally loyal and supportive to our great party (PDP)" Ekoakwaha stated.



The stakeholders meeting which was aimed at bringing all factions together to work for the success of the umbrella party ahead of the forthcoming Council election was mediated by the Chapter Chairman of PDP in Ibeno,  Hon. Emma Ibok. In attendance were; State officer of the party, Mrs. Grace Ekpe, Elder Samuel Ekpeyong, Elder Enyina Herkins, Oku Utip Ekong, Party chieftains, Chapter and Ward officers, Women and  youths.
