FRANK ARCHIBONG IS PROFESSIONALLY COMPETENT- RT. HON. UDUAK ODUDOH



The Chairman, House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Apropriations,  Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, has passed a vote of confidence on the Commissioner of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, for his eloquence and elaborate presentation of his Ministry's 2021 budget.




Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, who is the member representing Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo State Constituency, made the remarks on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the conference room of the State Assembly when Frank Archibong appeared before the Finance and Appropriation Commmitee to defend his Ministry's 2021 budget.  



The lawmaker  lauded Frank Archibong for displaying competency and mastery irrespective of his short duration on the saddle as Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, noting that he was not surprised at the articulate approach through which the Commissioner detailed the  projected implementation plan of the 2021 budget for the Ministry of local government and Chieftaincy Affairs



"As chairman of Finance and Appropriations Committee,  let me on behalf of my committee members  expressed  commend you for your excellent presentation. We are impressed with your record; therefore, we hereby pass a vote of confidence on you in recognition of your competency" Odudoh said.



Briefing the Committee on his determination to deliver efficiently, the Commissioner also requested for minor adjustment in the 2021 budget proposal to accommodate furnishing of the Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs Chambers recently commissioned by governor Udom Emmanuel.



Others in the entourage of the commissioner included; Director of Admin/ acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Edet Etukudoh, Secretary State Council of Chiefs, Mr. Emmanuel Umontuen, Accountant, Mr. Mark  Joshua Akpan, Director of Planning, Rating and Statistics, Mr. Patrick Ikotidem, Director of Inspectoriate, Mrs. Ime .G. Akpan, Rating and Valuation, Mrs. Victoria .G. Brown, Head, Local government, Mr. Enobong U. Paul  and Mr. Tommey Enodien.


Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Felicia Bassey, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Aniefiok Dennis, Rt. Hon. Idongesit Ntekpre, Rt. Hon. Godwin Ekpo, Hon. (Barr.) Otobong bob and Hon. Nana Asuquo, were some of the Finance and Appropriation's Committee members present during yesterday's budget defense exercise.
