I AM READY TO DELIVER- WILLIAMS MKPAH TELLS IBENO PEOPLE




... assures development, road network.

The newly sworn in Executive Chairman of Ibeno LGC, High Chief Williams Mkpah, has reiterated his commitment to deliver on his campaign promises through partnership partnering with relevant stakeholders to fast track development in Ibeno. 


Williams Mkpah, who said the time for his people to experience the best in governance  is now, gave the assurances on Monday, while addressing the people of Ibeno at the Council Secretariat in Upenekang. Mkpah expressed optimism  that the will of God for Ibeno people will manifest.

"As a servant leader, i will ensure proactive measures that will further attract progress and development to our LGA through a consultative partnership approach"  Mkpah stated.


He appreciated governor Udom Emmanuel whom he said has demonstrated true leadership style by developing all sectors in the State.

Mkpah, also appreciated the PDP leadership and the entire electorates in Ibeno for giving him the mandate to serve them at the capacity of Council Chairman.
 
He pointed that electricity supply has remained one of the major challenges why development is not widely spread in the area, while assuring to tackle it squarely.

He however warned sea pirates terrorising business men operating in the sea shores to have a rethink and down their tools.


The brand new Chairman, further promised royal fathers of monthly stipends as part of his effort to support them in the discharge of their traditional functions.

He also charged the youths to be united and urged them to see themselves as development partners. "Once there is no unity, we will not progress; Therefore, our youth must endeavour to partner with government for significant development, peace and harmonious coexistence" He added. 

On the issue of road network expansion, High Chief Mkpah, said his administration will commence will commence opening of new roads by collaborating with Oil serving companies operating in the area that he said will further deepen development in Ibeno. 

Mr. Sunday Isokobo, in his speech, thanked the people of Ibeno for their support and love. He admitted that Williams Mkpah has the capacity to deliver as Chairman of Ibeno.

Hon. Isokobo, assured of his constant support in order to help  move Ibeno forward. He  charged the people to collectively support High Chief Mkpah to help him deliver smoothly. 

"We are very delighted to witness what God has done for us in Ibeno. The coming of Mkpah is symbolic of a new dawn for the people of Ibeno". Isokobo said. 

Director general of 'In His Time', Mkpah's campaign Organization, Apostle Samuel Ekah, Elder Samuel Ekpeyong, the PDP Chapter Chairman, Mr. Emma Ibok and Mrs. Lucy Itrechio, in their separate goodwill messages, promised to support the new Council Chairman. They said there's no other party in Ibeno that would have delivered apart from the PDP if given the chance to lead.
They expressed confidence that this administration will bring to the people of Ibeno great testimony that will renew the peoples confidence  and trust in government.

Obong Friday Ebong, who spoke on behalf of the youths said Mkpah, this is the only time that Ibeno LGA is having a selfless and grassroot Chairman that will see the people interest as paramount.


Also speaking, Mrs. Lucy Itrechio, said Ibeno people are lucky to have High Chief Mkpah, whom she said is a gender friendly leader.


Speaking on behalf of the royal fathers, Paramount ruler of Ibeno, HRM Edidem Bassey Archanga, lauded the people of Ibeno for standing firm in their decision to choose for themselves a chairman who will assiduously work to salvage the people from the challenges of poverty. Edidem Archanga,  who was represented by Chief Effiong Bassey, urged the brand new Chairman to exhibit the real leadership attributes he is known for.

The swearing-in reception ceremony had in attendance,  Wife to the Member representing Eket Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Mrs. Pat Ifon, Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob, Member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Effiong Bob, Mr. Uwem Uquang, Mr. Ukaetor Asukpa, State PDP Secretary, Mr. Harrison Ekpo, DSP Uduak Akpan, Special Assistant on Research and Documentation,Mr. Essien Ndueso and SA on Project Monitoring, Dr. Nsidibe Akata, royal fathers, elected Councillors, security Agencies, women and youth groups,
