DNE APRIL: EXPORT PROMOTION ADVISOR SUES FOR PACKAGING AND EXPORTATION OF AKWA IBOM FOODS.


A trade promotion advisor with the  Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Pauline Ndulaka has lauded the food cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom State and  called for the strategic packaging and exportation of Akwa Ibom food products to other countries. 


Ndulaka said this during the April edition of the Dakkada Network Experience, which took place today Friday,  30th April, 2021.


The monthly event which held on video conferencing app, Zoom had as its theme;

MAXIMIZING EXPORTATION OPPORTUNITIES IN AGRICULTURE and had as guest speakers, an Agricultural engineer/Agri-business expert; Engr. Ifiok Ekot and Mrs. Pauline Ndulaka. 

In his own presentation, Engr Ifiok Ekott said exportation was the icing on the cake of Agribusiness. According to Ekott, exporting agricultural produces will not only boost the nation's foreign exchange earnings, but will give the farmers an international outlook, which enriching players in the value chain that will ensue.

 In her remark, the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on entrepreneurial development, Mrs Meflyn Anwana said the Akwa Ibom State Government was deliberate about its investments and policies in Agriculture. Anwana urged young persons in the state to take to Agriculture in other to reap from the immense benefits that abound in the sector.


The Dakkada Networking Experience (DNE) also featured a business pitch session, where participating entrepreneurs pitched business ideas  for a chance to win one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) in business grants. At the end of the exercise, Mr Udeme Pascal, an Agro-preneur emerged tops to clinch the top prize.
