I read with great consternation, an article purportedly aimed at criticising the good intention of our Leader, Pastor and Undershepherd - Pastor Umo Eno on his well thought out Family Thanksgiving Service slated for Saturday 25th September 2021 at his country home - Ikot Ekpene Udo in Nsit Ubium LGA. The article is ill-motivated and aimed at misdirecting the general public from the fundamental essence of the tripartite ceremony by the family which is solely aimed at giving thanks and honour to God Almighty.
Let it be known to the perpetrators behind such misleading articles who seem always ready to criticize everything under the sun, that Pastor Umo Eno is one of the few Pastors we know who would firstly show proof of what they preach to their congregations with visible and personal examples.
As members of All Nations Christian Ministry Int’l for the past 17 years, we can attest to the many messages of Pastor Eno which are firstly believed by him, faithed and followed through in person with inspiring testimonies. Often times, he will reiterate to us the fact that once he is on the pulpit to preach or pray, he does so, not only to us the congregants but to himself and family. Seeing him every time lives out his messages and prophecies by faith in the very Word of God he delivers, automatically inspires and increases our individual faith in the same Word of God, thereby strengthening and motivating many to their uncountable blessings in life. This is one of the many breakthrough secrets of the ministry that has changed lives for good these past years.
Typical to this, was his declaration of the year 2021 as *“A YEAR OF CELEBRATION”* under the unction of the Holy Spirit during our National Cross Over Service of 31st December 2020. No sooner than we crossed into the New Year, the entire Church was immersed in a nationwide celebration as he was appointed and sworn into the State Exco as the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources. This was once again, a tangible proof that Pastor Eno continues to live out the messages he preaches as a Pastor of All Nations Christian Ministry International.
However, as one of the few highly organized Pastors in Nigeria and one who is well disciplined in resource management with high-level prudence – evidently one of the many qualities that have seen to the enduring success of his businesses, he thought it best to celebrate that appointment along with his 35years of Marriage and one-year remembrance of the life and times of their beloved mother who was laid to rest last year. Isn’t that something too remarkable for anyone to admire, emulate or aspire to replicate? It seems there’s too little left to be criticized in the State if a reputable Man of God with three evidently loaded reasons to thank God for, sets out to doing so uniquely is criticized by political jobbers.
Furthermore, long before our 17th Anniversary Convention, Pastor Eno took the entire church through a series of messages on Gratitude which culminated into the theme for that Convention *WITH A GRATEFUL HEART!*
Without wasting your time, permit me to let you know that the Family’s Thanksgiving coming up this Saturday, is once more, a representative example by Pastor Eno in living out his messages per time but now, in express gratitude to God for his marriage of 35years with sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and other extended relatives yet not forgetting his appointment as a Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State which came to him barely few months after a befitting farewell service for the mother.
Methinks, Pastor Umo Eno and family are in order with their plans to give honour to whom the Honour is due through a thanksgiving service.
The writer while claiming to know has gone very far in proving the shallowness of his knowledge by even claiming that the thanksgiving service is bankrolled by the State Government. This is the most mischievous criticism of our time and I beg to remind him of the last state event in Ikot Ekpene Udo - the funeral service of Deaconess Eka Bassey Eno which hosted the crème de la crème in Nigeria including His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, was solely bankrolled by the Eno’s Family. Hence, for the record, let it be known that Pastor Umo Eno does not need the state’s resources to run his affairs as he is not a poor man by any standard. While his numerous friends both within and outside the state have shown him tremendous goodwill for which he is grateful, our Governor, HE Udom Emmanuel and our Undershepherd Pastor Umo Eno that we know well, will never tamper with state resources for their personal use.
Akwa Ibomites, please be guided and let us for once, drop the fogged perception of criticism on everything that passes our sights but rather embrace the exemplary proofs of a “Grateful Heart” by adhering to the words of the Apostles in the scriptures as seen in the book of Philippians 4:8 which says:
_Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things._
