Stakeholders in Esit Eket have reaffirmed their support to the Peoples Democratic Party and Governor Udom Emmanuel's completion Agenda drive, stating that PDP remains the only political party with excellent leaders and master plan that can guarantee development and a peaceful society.
Speaking during the inauguration of Esit Eket Chapter Steering committee of The Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) on Wednesday, 8th September,2021, elder Udobia, stressed that the reason Governor Emmanuel has exceedingly delivered in terms of security, industrial revolution by transforming the State from a globally acknowledged civil service State to an industrial hub indicates Akwa Ibom State is peaceful and safe for investors.
The Political leader in his remarks while addressing party loyalists reaffirmed his of support for Governor Udom Emmanuel, saying that it would not have been easy for the Governor to achieve such giant strides if not that he was elected under the platform of the PDP as Governor of the State.
"In PDP, there are credible leaders with concrete integrity as demonstrated by Mr. Udom Emmanuel who is the leader of our party,. Therefore, it will serves us right if we continue to support and stand by him even beyond 2023".
"We have seen clearly what the Governor has done. The idea conceived for the Sustenance of peace is excellent and, as such, wherever he goes, we in Esit Eket will go there. Our Governor is a man of peace and where there is no peace, development cannot strive".
The Chapter Coordinator of MPM in Esit Eket, Mr. Iniobong Robson, in his acceptance speech promised to deliver according to the mandate of his office. He noted that there is an existing established leadership in the LGA led by Elder Ben Udobia.
"Anything that has affiliation with politics is never a child's play. It is always time consuming and financially demanding. One thing I am certain of is that with the record we have set so far, that same God that saw us to victory will do it again and, our victory is going to be very massive". Robson said.
The MPM steering committee in Esit Eket has Mr. Iniobong Robson Nnamso as Coordinator, while the Secretary is Hon. Barr. Bassey Dan-Abia jnr. The Committee also has the Political leader, Elder Ben Udobia, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Ini Adiakpan among other prominent stakeholders as Advisers.
The delegation of the State Steering committee of The Maintain Peace Movement was led by the Chairman, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem.
