Elder Benjamin Udobia; Political leader of Esit Eket LGA 

The political leader of Esit Eket LGA, Elder Benjamin Udobia has lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel's three years achievements in office urging citizens in the state to be law abiding ahead of forthcoming general elections.

The political said youths should endeavour to exhibit high level of discipline in thoughts and actions in other to sustain on the existing peaceful atmosphere in the state witnessed by Akwa Ibomites under the Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Benjamin Udobia; who is the deputy director general of the Divine Mandate campaign organization, expressed satisfaction in the leadership exposition of Governor Udom Emmanuel within the period of three years not withstanding porous economy.

He noted that the numerous achievements in road networks infrastructure, human capital development, youth and women empowerment, prompt payment of salaries to civil servants, industrial revolution in the education sector and so forth are salient points youths should support the Governor's effort to ensure there is peace in the state.

The business mogul cum politician gave the remarks on friday At Edo village, in Esit Eket LGA while addressing Women and youth supporters of Udom Emmanuel re-election project.

Elder Udobia reiterated that the people of Akwa Ibom State are proud to have Udom Emmanuel as their Governor till 2023.He said the state is equally peaceful and safe  ahead of forthcoming elections.

He said the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel is committed to turning Akwa Ibom State into a global tourism destination. He commended the Governor's effort in giving maximum support to the security agencies in the state in the course of curbing crime and criminal activities capable of hampering developments.

He added that there is a brighter future for youths of the state should they refrain from criminal involvement and encourage decency and moral rectitude amongst youth.

He lauded the role of the media in nation building and advocated for need for the press to be ethically and professionally guided irrespective of religious or ethnic affinity stating that the people of the are depending on what they see and read on the pages of newspapers and on the internet.

He further advocated for women collaboration across the state to practically abide by the rule of law as a panacea to enable a platform for peaceful, credible and fair conduct of 2019 general elections in the State and Nigeria at large.

He pointed that the strength of PDP is that Governor Udom Emmanuel has fulfilled on his campaign promises which is more reason the umbrella party is sure of winning 2019 elections.

He cautioned both women and youths to be conscious of the things they do or say emphasising that youth should not subject themselves to be used as political scapegoats or thugs in the forthcoming elections.

He restated his commitment to consistently support youth and women participation in policy and decision making by creating avenues where they would be positively engaged and impacted through job creation, scholarship grants, skills acquisition training, human capital development and employments opportunities.
