The carnival-like event was at the instance of the SSA to the Governor on Medical, Dr. Ignatius Akpabio to collectively endorse Governor Udom Emmanuel for his superlative Industrialisation Agenda and it's attendant positive impact on the lives of ONNA people and Akwa Ibom at large.
The youths and women besieged the venue in thousands with appreciation songs for Governor Udom Emmanuel for appointing Dr Ignatius Akpabio as his Senior Special Assistant on Medicals.
They promised to support the Executive Governor because Dr Ignatius Akpabio has brought Deacon Udom Emmanuel to Oniong West 1 via
completed/ongoing projects and welfare packages the people have been enjoying.
Otuekong (Hon) Nse Essien, Member Representing ONNA State Constituency thanked the people of Oniong West 1 for their unwavering support for Governor Udom Emmanuel's administration and promised that more developmental strides shall be recorded in Oniong West in the days ahead.
The International President of DIV/SSA to the Governor on Education Mrs Idongesit Etiebet lend her voice to the endorsement and reiterated that Deacon Udom Emmanuel is a complete brand worthy of our support.
The motion of endorsement was raised by the South South National Youth Council of Nigeria Chairman, Comrade Daniel Emem Daniel and duly seconded by Samuel Umofia, the Youth Council Chairman of ONNA to the admiration and cheering of the mammoth crowd.
Among the dignitaries present at the occasion were Comrade Itoro Macauley, International President Friends of Otuekong Nse Essien; SA's to the Governor on media, Essien Ndueso, Idorenyin Umana; Comrade Edeminam Edeminam, Ward chairman Oniong West 1; Prince Ubong Akpan, Ward Chairman ONNA West 3; Miss Blessing Kiddy, Supervisor for Youth & Sports ONNA LGA; Elder JohnBull, ward Chairman Oniong East 1; Comrade Ekerete Rufus, ward Chairman Awa ward 3, Collins Emmanuel, ward Chairman Nung Ndem ward 2; Princess Regina Ukpa, Comrade Nkanang Dominic, Youth Caucus State officer, village Youth leaders, women groups, Youth groups and a lot of other dignitaries to grace the occasion.
Comrade Ubong Essien mobilisation prowess added the needed verve to the occasion with a network and networth connection to the people at the grassroot.
