BAD LEADERSHIP: ONDO YOUTHS BLOCK LAGOS-ORE-BENIN EXPRESS WAY, SAYS GOV. ROTIMI AKEREDOLU, FG. ARE FAILURES

In a way of expressing displeasure over  failed leadership of the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for not living up to his constitutional responsibilities of providing social amenities to the electorates.



Youths across the State led by Mr. Kunle Wiseman today protested against the APC bad leadership along the Lagos-Ore-Benin express way complaining that both the state and federal Government have woefully failed to consolidate on the peoples mandate given them.

The protest which resulted to total gridlock along the deadly Lagos-Ore-Benin express way letf transporters and travelers stranded. 

According to Mr. Kunle Wiseman Ajaji; general secretary of United Action For Democracy (UAD) who spoke on behalf of the youths informed that the people of Ondo South have been in perpetual darkness for the past ten years without government interventions. 

He said both the Ondo State government at all levels and the Buhari APC led-federal government have wilfully refuesd to intervene by laising with relevant authority vested with the constitutional provision of electricity provisions, transmission and distributions.

He explained that Mr. Agboola Ajayi, the deputy Governor of the State, who is also an indigene of Etsa-Odo and the incumbent Governor who promised to rectify and fix up the issue of electricity on assumption of offices as Governor and Deputy Governor are yet to fulfilled on their campaign promises. 

Mr. Wiseman used the medium and appeal to non governmental organisations, angencies and the global communities to come to their rescue.

"Our youths and women no longer continue with their independent bussinnesess, no good health care service delivery, unemployment, poverty and crime increasing on daily basis yet the government of the state and the  federal are adamant".
Wiseman lamented.

He reiterated that not until the issue of electricity is fixed, youths of Ondo South which is a conglomeration of four Local Government Areas will not relent from demanding from the government their constitutional rights.


As at the time of filing this report, men of the Nigerian police and other security agencies were on ground to prevent against breakdown of law and order.
