The stakeholders who spoke in one voice reminded everyone that the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel has given Eket LGA a new phase in the global world saying that the people of Ward Two Central would not allow themselves to be cowed to compromise their decision of re-electing the Governor as their choice candidate for a second term.
Addressing the crowd, the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on media, Mr. Essien Ndueso commended the leadership of the state chief executive on his initiatives to re-transform Eket to reflect global standard.
The Governor's media aide appealed to those who are yet to obtain their permanent voters cards (PVCs) to avail themselves the opportunity of collecting their cards saying that it is the only legal tool to ensure Udom Emmanuel is re-elected.
Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Projects Monitoring, Mr. Essien Nduese Essien, and the leader of the ward Elder Nse Atang who is the Executive Director, Finance in the state Board of Internal Revenue.
Others included Mr. Victor Bassey, a member of the State Waste Management and Environmental board as well as the respective zonal leaders in the ward who all reaffirmed their commitment to ensure Udom Emmanuel's re-election victory come 2019.
They posited that those against the Governor's re-lection are saboteurs of good governance. They noted that the Governor's performance has surpassed previous administrations siting legacies in road networks infrastructure, education, youth and women empowerment, industrial reneasance and jobs creation which Eket LGA are not being left out as thier concrete reasons the people of the area are cueing behind and supporting the continuity project of the Governor.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Eket LGA, Mr. Frank Archibong who was represented by the councillor representing Ward two central, Hon. Akaniyene Tommey, said the general decision of the people of Eket LGA is to return Udom Emmanuel to the Hill Top Mansion.
Tommey maintained that the electorates are well enlightened to be deceived, and are making the right choice by re-electing Governor Udom Emmanuel to continue in office till 2023.
