A/IBOM 2019: ESD LEADERS DARES AKPABIO, SAYS NO FEDERAL MIGHT CAN SUBVERT UDOM, REAFIRMS SUPPORT FOR GOV. UDOM EMMANUEL SECOND TERM.

Leaders of Eket senatorial district in a unison resolution have vowed to resist any attempt by the APC led federal government to rig the 2019 elections in the State in a bid to jettison the district from returning Gov. Udom Emmanuel to the hilltop mansion stating that the achievements of the Governor since he assumed office has surpassed that of his predecessor.

The leaders of the senatorial district stated this in Onna during the mega endorsement rally organized by the leadership of the senatorial district in honour of Gov. Emmanuel under the able chairmanship of His Excellency Etim Okpoyo.




Specifically, they lauded Udoms industrialization vision which they said has unprecedentedly aided in re-branding peoples conceptions and views about the state.
 
Speaking, the leader of the senatorial district, a former two term federal lawmaker and former minister, Rt. Hon.(Chief) Nduese Essien said the road is now clear for Gov. Emmanuel to lead Akwa Ibomites smoothly.


"the finances of the state was in bad shape, the difficulties, cobwebs and all the hindrances that was hindering supposed development are now removed, so now, he (Udom) is prepared to go back for a second term in full charge of his office" Chief Nduese said.


Chief Nduese however challenged those going around to boast about federal might to use their federal might to develop the state rather than distracting a Governor whose landmarks achievement can't be altered.



The political leader of Esit Eket LGA, elder Benjamin Udobia in his goodwill message said, leaders of the senatorial district has no intention to change Gov. Udom Emmanuel as their sole candidate for the gubernatorial race.

Elder Udobia, who is the deputy director general of the divine mandate organization stressed that the one that started is the one that will complete the district's eight years slot as Governor of the State noting that the decision of the senatorial district leaders and the entire Akwa Ibomites cannot be jettisoned.

Sen. Helen Esuene, in her remarks described Udom Emmanuel as a super brand. She appreciated the women for defying the heavy downpour in support for the governor's re-election mega rally.


Esuene, a former minister of the Federal Republic asserted that women of Akwa Ibom State are duly recognise under the Udom led-administration. She added that with the appointment of seven females permanent secretaries, deputy Speaker and surveyor general of the state is a clear demonstration that Gov. Emmanuel is a gender friendly governor. She assured of mobilising the women in support of the success of PDP in the forthcoming elections.


Also speaking, Hon. Frank Archibong; the executive chairman of Eket LGA admitted that Gov. Emmanuel has creditably performed.
"we defied the heavy downpour to come and  endorse you to showcase to the whole world that under sun or rain, that you are our own".

Archibong who doubles as the state ALGON Chairman reiterated the support of the entire local government chairmen in the State for the Governor's mandate renewal come 2019.


Enobong Harry, PDP State Youth Leader, who spoke on behalf of youths of Eket senatorial district asserted that the entire youths of the district are in full support of Gov. Emmanuel second term bid.

"the youths of Eket senatorial district are intact, we are for you and we are dominant, we are pregnant and we are prepared to deliver and no man will subvert our wishe" he said quoting from the book of Lamentaion  3:33"

Harry restated that Akwa Ibom youths will not take it for a joke any attempt or attempted trial from anybody or groups to subvert Udom Emmanuel.


The chairman, central planning committee of the mega endorsement rally, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen; the State commissioner for works thanked God for the impressive mammoth crowd of supporters that trouped out to show solidarity for the Governor at the rally.

Mr. Inyang-eyen lauded the achievements of Governor Udom Emmanuel across the state noting that good things will always prevail against all odds.


He thanked the entire planning committee members and supporters for their various roles for a successful event.
