..says she will clean-up the mess and fill the vacuum

As the race on who should represent Eket senatorial district gets more interesting, a leading aspirant for the seat of Eket senatorial District Dr. Akon Eyakenyi has assured the people of the senatorial District that she will clean up the mess and fill the vacuum of poor representation if elected into office as a senator.

Dr. Eyakenyi gave the assurance yesterday during her consultation visit to the Executive chairman of Eket LGA Mr. Frank Archibong and members of Eket legislative council to formally declare her interest to aspire and to dethron the incumbent.

In the entourage of her campaign train known as "better deal campaign team" were former state lawmakers, party chieftains and women groups led by Elder Samuel Ekpeyong; director general and Chief H. C. Isong.
Dr. Eyakenyi while making her intention known lauded the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel for guarranteing Akwa Ibomites a safe and secured environment. She described Mr. Frank Archibong as an outstanding leader whose records in governance has traversed beyond the scope of Eket.

Dr. Eyakenyi hinted that she came to present to the people of Eket LGA her package which is what the people of Eket senatorial District have been yearning for.

She eulogised the ecclesiastical prowess of the chapter chairmen for Eket and Esit Eket LGAs, Hon. Frank Archibong and Hon. Iniobong Robson whom she noted as men sent from Heaven to help translate her dream of becoming the next senator a reality.

 She stated that her decision to join the race to represent the people of the district at the red chambers is spur by her innermost concern to ensure the people of the area get their proper benefits and treatment as highest contributors to national growth and to help reposition for the senatorial district how and what is expected of them from the government at the central as compared to what is produced  as largest oil producing state.

She attributed the failed representation of the incumbent senator as a symbolic divine arrangement for a better deal, better person with the best package to emerge.

"I am coming with the mission to clean up the shame, clean up the mess and to resuscitate our lost glory to ensure Eket senatorial District is properly representated" Akon said.

She went further to reiterate her commitment to support the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel till 2023.

Hon. Frank Archibong in his remarks commended Dr. Akon for her seriousness to always portray excellent leadership.He urged the senatorial hopeful to continue with her consultations stating that power belongs to God.

He pointed that the fundamental principles of ensuring good governance is for one to understand the terrain and what he/she is driven by.

Hon. Archibong advised all to be committed to the course of supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel till 2023 saying that the Govenor's second term should be given maximum support from all team players in other to attract more government presence and projects to the senatorial district.

He restated that the people of Eket LGA will not relent in their efforts to continue in supporting and propagating the developmental strides of the Udom Emmanuel PDP led-administration which he said its the only party capable of winning elections and providing for both indegens and residents in Akwa Ibom State.
