Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses in Akwa Ibom State, Chief Noble Akenge has assured Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians that PDP is the only party with formidable structures and national interest to lead the country.
Chief Akenge stated this at the party's state secretariat today, in Uyo while addressing party chieftains, chapters and ward chairmen ahead of today's ward congresses in the state.
Akenge who irrevocably predicted victory for the umbrella party maintanid that PDP is politically formidable, United and focus to win elections across the State without rancour.
"PDP will certainly produce the next occupant of Aso Villa as well as emerging victorious in the forthcoming general elections to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)". He submitted.
The congress chairman admonished all those involved in the conduct of the ward congresses to ensure the entire process is peaceful, calm and fair within the confines of the party's guidelines and procedures established for the congress which he said is to elect three ad-hoc delegates from each of the 329 wards across the state ahead of forthcoming party's primaries.
While commending the efforts of the leadership of the State led by Obong Paul Ekpo, he noted that Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP is more matured in the game of politics. He stressed that the party at the National level is confident of the votes that the State will contribute to ensure PDP emerge victorious in 2019.
The meeting had in attendance State Chairman of the Party Obong Paul Ekpo, Barr. Ini Ememobong, publicity secretary, Barr. Akpadiaha Ebitu, treasurer, Hon. Enobong Harry, State youth leader, members of the State working Committee, chapter and ward executives, chieftains and youth leaders among others.
