BREAKING: EKET YOUTHS BLOCK EXXONMOBIL FACILITIES, DEMAND SACK OF POLICE BOSS, CP MIKO




Youths across Eket Local Government Area  have taken to the streets demonstrating their grievances over what they term as  "Sen. Akpabio's sponsored invasion  and attack at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly"



In an attempt to send serious signal across to the federal government and the Inspector  general of police, they went further and  blocked all Exxonmobil facilities located within the city of Eket.

 Some of the facilities blocked are the ExxonMobil housing estate, Mobil Airstrip & other Locations of the multinational oil giant.


In a chorus voice, the youths also call on the inspector general of police to immediately sack the State police commissioner, Mr. Musa Miko for aiding the illegal invasion of the state assembly by the APC's sacked five lawmakers.


Some of the placards on display reads thus" Akpabio take your Warsaw  to Sambiza forest", Sack Musa Miko Now", Udom must complete Eight years".

Another reads, "AKWA IBOM IS PEACEFUL UNDER GOV. UDOM EMMANUEL", DON'T USE OUR TAX PAYERS MONEY TO INTIMIDATE US".


Leading the peaceful protest, Comr.Daniel Essien; chairman, Eket Senatorial District village youth Presidents Forum said the youths will not relent in their effort to partner with the governor Udom Emmanuel led-administration in promoting peace and ensuring the state remain safer and secure for all.


"Akpabio and his allies cannot intimidate us with his Warsaw drum; we will resist every operations in ExxonMobil if the federal government continue in fueling crisis in our peaceful State" Essien said.
