EXCLUSIVE: WHY AKS COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, JOHN ABANG WAS REMOVED, AKPABIO, SGF AND CoS FINGERED

Investigation has revealed that, the former Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State. Mr.John Abang had stepped on powerful toes at the Presidency, which caused his ouster from the State.

Sources in the Police headquarters told our Reporters, that the directive allegedly given to Mr.Abang was not carried out in full.

We gathered that, the former CP was handed an order, to lay a siege on the House of Assembly, to prevent the Speaker, Mr.Onofiok Luke from gaining entrance into the Assembly, but that order was not carried out to the fullest, and the plot not well executed.

Recollect that, despite the partial siege, the Speaker and Members were able to access the chambers of the Assembly, were five seats of Legislators who defected to the All Progressives Congress were declared vacant.

The order we learnt, was allegedly handed down to the Inspector General of Police, through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in connivance with the Chief of a Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.

Our top police source also confided in our medium, that the former senate minority leader, Mr.Godswill Akpabio, was said to have shouted on the police Chief, for what he termed his alleged alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party, to humiliate him.

With Mr.Abang’s non compliance with the alleged directive, a signal from the Force headquarters was activated, which led to his transfer from the State.

Giving credence to what the APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole had previously alleged, that the CP was not working for the APC as he should.

Efforts to speak with the Force Public Relations Officer were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
