AKWA IBOM WORKS COMMISSIONER PRESENTS NEW CAR TO MONARCH

In fulfilment of his promise to assist the Village Head of Ikot Etim in Ukanafun Local Government Area, Chief Fabian Evanson, with a means of transport, Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, has donated a new Toyota Car to the monarch.




Recall that the Works boss had few weeks ago promised to give the royal father a car when he visited the area to flag off the construction of 15km Ikot Akpan Afaha-ikot Oku Usung road with spurs in Ukanafun.

Inyang-Eyen, who presented the car key to the Village Head at his Palace, Friday, said, the gesture was to aid the movement of Chief Evanson, in the course of performing his roles in community development.

He lauded the contribution of the Royal father towards the entrenchment of peace and harmonious-coexistence in the area, appealing such to be sustained stressing that Governor Udom Emmanuel will do everything to promote societal cohesion and social stability in the State.

Responding, the monarch who was full of joy, prayed God to reward the donor in million folds, even as he urged him to continue to live for Akwa Ibom people.

He said,“Today is my joyous day on earth. I am very happy and excited. I don't even know what to say, because my son (referring to the Commissioner) has made me proud.

The Monarch used the occasion to praise Governor Udom Emmanuel for restoring peace in Ukanafun and announced that economic and commercial activities have been brought back to the area.

Chief Evanson who was flanked by his wife and several youth of the community used the occasion to assure the governor of his peoples support to his government to enable him consolidate on his multitudinous achievements.

The elated recipient in appreciation presented several food stuffs including a live native goat to the donor.

The exercise was done in the presence of the political leader of Ukanafun, Obong Eno Akpan, a former lawmaker and Commissioner, Hon Aniekan Akpan among others.
