The Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency (AKSEPWMA) - Hon. Prince Ikim, has called on all waste Contractors working for the State Government to step up their game and ensure that all accumulated waste within the State Capital and beyond are evacuated.
Ikim gave the ultimatum while visiting some Government approved dump points within Uyo Metropolis on Sunday April 7, 2019, shortly after his Child Dedication reception at Emerald Event Centre at Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo.
The Waste Management Boss also pointed out that from Monday, all contractors should be on their toes as massive evacuation of waste within Uyo metropolis will commence. He admonished all street Traders to comply with the State Government's reposition ultimatum.
Recall that the Akwa Ibom State Government through her Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency had issued an ultimatum urging all Street Traders within the State Metropolis to relocate to Ibom Plaza approved market within 7days, with effect from Tuesday April 2, 2019.
