As the sixth Assembly appraoches end of tenure completion, Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Usoro samuel Akpanusoh, have sued ministries assigned on duties should not work to the detriment of the government but to do it according to the ethics of governance.
He said it is pertinent so as not to label any official a defaulter for misappropriation. The committee chairman who defined accountability as the very essence of good, advised ministries not to disregard the committee orders but should present themselves for appraisals.
Hon. Akpanusoh thanked MDAs that appeared for the 2019 budget appraisal for compliance while also laud the effort of members of the press for working tirelessly with the committee to gift a wider coverage.
Present for appraisal today were Dr. Nathaniel Adiakpan of governor's office and CCECC Public Relations Officer, Lady Veronica Akpan.
