The people of Esit Eket /Ibeno State Constituency could not hold their joy, as the member representing them in the sixth Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Usoro Akpanusoh flagged-off a specialize skill acquisition for the general benefit of his constituents.
Dr. Akpanusoh, who is one of the most vibrant and performing lawmakers in the sixth Assembly said he would never relent effort at ensuring effective representation as the peoples mandate holder.
This, Akpanusoh have remain practically resilient in sponsoring youths across his constituency to obtain professional certifications in off-shore and on-shore specialize skills acquisition as part of his
commitment towards sustainable human capacity development and youth empowerment.
The special skill acquisition which is in phases, is aimed at training youths in different field so as to enable them to be engaged and employed by oil servicing companies operating in the area both off-shore and on-shore as it relates to oil and gas sector.
Akpanusoh, while addressing first batch of the trainees during the flagg-off ceremony at TOMSAM SCAFOLDING, #60, Adua road, Eket, admonished them to seize the opportunity of his extended benevolence to adequately equipped themselves professionally for the task ahead.
The lawmaker had also donated complete sets of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to the thirty one (31) persons in the fisrt batch list sponsored by him.
"This program is inline with the dakada philosophy as exhibited by Governor Udom Emmanuel. This to me is to re-harness the unity and peaceful coexistence as reward system for those who supported the re-election of Udom Emmanuel and other PDP candidates in the 2019 general election". Usoro said.
He further assured that going by the implementation of local content policy act, those undergoing the training stands the chance of being employed by the oil servicing companies operating in the area. He stated that it will further help in reducing unemployment and youths restiveness.
Present during the flag-off ceremony were Hon. Ime Robson, chairman of the skill acquisiton program. All-Mustapha Emem Edoho, Hon. Urua Akpe, former leader of Esit Eket Legislative Council, Hon. Imoh Jonah, Mr. Asuquo Friday Udoh, supervisor for works, Esit Eket LGC, party stalwarts among others.
