The Chairman of Abak LGA Barr Imo Williams who just returned from an official trip in Singapore, has indicated his preparedness to appear before the house of assembly committee charged with the responsibility of investigating the unfortunate incident of filmed assault on a harmless citizen. He has also indicated that he will cooperate fully with the committee in their assigned task.
He further disassociated himself from any protest, petition, march or even writing seeking to abuse constituted authorities and attempting to oppose already taken steps. He maintains that he has not mandated anybody or group of persons to act on his behalf in this matter (except this statement which he has duly authorized).
He deeply regrets the unfortunate trail of events which culminated in the barbaric act seen in the video. That act debases humanity and is roundly condemned by Barr. Williams.
He sincerely apologises to the entire citizenry who have seen the troubling video .
