EXXONMOBIL, HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, MBOHO, ORS HAIL INYANG-EYEN ON RE-APPOINTMENT

Truckload of goodwill messages from highly reputable individuals and organizations across the country, have trailed the re-appointment of Mr. Ephraim Inyang-Eyen as member, Akwa Ibom State Executive Council and Commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Works of the oil rich State.


Among the latest goodwill messages dispatched to the office of the Commissioner came from ExxonMobil - operators of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).


"On behalf of the Management and Staff of Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) - operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)/MPN joint venture, I write to congratulate you on your re-appointment and assumption of office as Works Commissioner and member, Akwa Ibom State Executive Council", a letter signed by the General Manager, Public and Government Affairs, Nigel Cookey-Gam, read in part.

The leading oil producing company noted that the re-appointment of the ONNA born former Customs Officer, is a testimony to his hard work and dedication to duty, stressing that, " we have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience in public service to bear on your assignment"

On their part, the National Human Rights Commission, while congratulating Inyang-Eyen, said, his re-appointment was as a result of the Commissioner's "pragmatic and leadership qualities, effective supervision of projects leading to the provision of quality projects and deployment of topnotch initiatives in running the Ministry as well as the entrenchment of good governance best practices and accountability".

Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, a foremost socio-cultural group of the fourth largest ethnic group in the country, through a letter jointly signed by her International President; Akparawa (Obong) Patrick Udofia and International Secretary General, Akparawa Fiokidaha Umoh, said, Mboho sees Inyang-Eyen's reappointment as "a divine act and a feat well deserved; considering your outstanding performances, proactive leadership qualities and the many years of your enduring service and landmark contributions to the development of our State".

According to the socio-cultural group, " it is also a demonstration of good judgement on the part of His Excellency, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, for selecting right and credible individuals for governance", such as the Commissioner.

The Chairman, Itu Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr) Etetim Onuk in his message observed that the re-appointment has offered the Commissioner another opportunity to offer his excellent intellectual and astute administrative contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom.

He however, prayed God to fortify Ephraim Inyang-Eyen with wisdom and resources for the great task ahead.
