The Chairman of Eket local government Council Hon. Frank Achibong on the 2nd October, 2019 will empower women in Eket.
The gesture is to encourage entrepreneurship and Self Reliance among women in the area in accordance with the aims and objectives of FEYReP ; the Pet Project of Akwa Ibom State Governor's wife, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel
This is in recognition of the contributions of the women to the success of his administration, and their continuous prayers for the progress of Eket LGA.
Archibong's administration deems it necessary to improve the economic welfare of women through resources that will aid financial independence among Eket Women .
The second phase of FAWES ,will focus on Market Women and Petty traders in the 3 major markets in Eket L G.A
....The Special Guest of Honour at the occasion is the Distinguished Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Senator Representing Eket Senatorial District
