The wife of the State Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel was among worshippers at the Insight Bible Church, Nsikak Eduok Avenue, Uyo as the church celebrated the end of the 2019 Women of Grace convention with the theme "Not So."
The programme which had Pastor Mrs. Omowummi Ogunbiade from Lagos as guest preacher, attracted women from all the branches of the church within and outside the state.
Addressing the congregants, the governor's wife congratulated the women for holding a successful convention, stating the her steps were ordered to attend the Sunday service at the right time.
"I'm so happy to be part of this convention. I never knew there was a programme but I must agree that my path was ordered to this service today. I'm blessed by the sermon because I am carrier of God's DNA." Mrs. Emmanuel remarked.
The First Lady who futher encouraged the women to rise and take their rightful positions in the society, also charged them to inculcate in their children good morals that would put them on the right path; saying frailty such as premarital sex and indecent dressing should not be encouraged in the family.
Special prayer was offered by the Senior Pastor of the ministry, Pastor Sylvanus Ukafia for the governor and wife and for the peace of the state.
