... Advises APC To Embrace Peace
Commissioner for Works, Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ephraim Akparawa Inyang-Eyen, on Thursday, congratulated Governor Udom Emmanuel on his victory at the Governorship Election Tribunal.
Recall that, the three-member tribunal headed by Justice A.M Yakubu, had dismissed the case filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Mr Nsima Ekere on the grounds that the petition lacked merit.
Commenting on the tribunal verdict, Mr. Inyang-Eyen, told journalists that, the judgement was a clear pointer to the fact that all processes and procedures for genuine election were followed in Akwa Ibom during the election which was however, challenged by the opposition party and its Governorship Candidate, Nsima Ekere.
The Works Boss saluted the courage of the tribunal in upholding the Divine mandate freely given by Akwa Ibomites to Governor Emmanuel, noting, “It is refreshing that we have reached this threshold and I am confident that this outcome would enhance the Udom Emmanuel administration’s resolve to complete all his programmes and make Akwa Ibom a cynosure of all eyes.
The Commissioner hinted that the Completion Agenda of the Governor was not only exciting but also a clear indication of the new frontier the State would reach in the next four years and beyond.
While thanking every Akwa Ibomite who stood for the truth before, during and after the elections, Inyang-Eyen enjoined the few dissenting voices to join hands with Governor Udom Emmanuel's administration in order to move the State forward.
