For those less privileged indigent children in Etebi Community, Esit Eket LGA whose hope of becoming a graduate might have appeared dimmed, they now have reasons to sing hallelujah as their hope finally come alive.
This is because of the kind gesture of the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chief Ibanga Etang, in brightening academic pursuits of youths in his community, (Etebi) through Ibanga Etang Education Empowerment Foundation , personally initiated and sponsored by him.
The Foundation, which is ongoing across Etebi group of villages is opened to less privileged children with zeal and enthusiasm for higher academic pursuits, but are hindered by low economic status of their parents and lack of sponsorship.
According to the Coordinator/Chairman of the Foundation and Dean, School of Management Sciences, Heritage Polytechnic, Mr Sunday Otukonyong, the programme is burned out of Ibanga Etang's philanthropic gesture and love for education and development of his people, especially the youths who are the future hope of every society.
Beneficiaries of the Foundation shall be sponsored in West African Examination Council (WAEC), Joint Administration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registrations, special (extra-moral) classes, and purchase of forms as well as admission cum sponsorship to study any course of choice in any public higher institution in Nigeria.
